DOG - Dessins Originaux et Géniaux a design studio specializing in fashion and the home, was founded in 1997 by two textile designers : Silke Sasson and Pia Tikkanen. In April 2015 it was restructured and given a new burst of energy. Today its directors are Silke Sasson and Roby Sasson.

By taking advantage of our strong knowledge of trends, we create designs that can be used on textiles or any other surfaces.
Our work is enriched everyday thanks to our multiple collaborations with designers, product managers, manufacturers …

What makes us stand out is our expertise in designing Allover patterns and Placed motifs that can be printed, woven or knitted in jacquards or used in any other technique on all surfaces.
We know the trends and keep up-to-date on what the market is looking for. We also know about new printing techniques, especially those used for textiles.

Our Design Studio is also a Trend Agency specializing in “Motifs and Patterns”.
For Fashion or the Home we can advise you on Colors, Atmospheres and Trends (CAT)

Whether they’re Allover patterns, placed motifs, jacquards or embroideries, we know how to develop complete themes or single motifs while adapting our work to your needs based on your brief.
Our Allover patterns are designed in repeats and ready for printing. All are delivered with the required technical indications.

For your WOMEN’S, MEN’S AND CHILDREN’S collections ranging from high-end ready-to-wear to mainstream fashion, we know and understand your target and your market.

Besides simply creating a motif to decorate an object, we sometimes get more inspiration when we actually design the object itself!

We love creating for the Home.
Tableware, household linens, objects, rugs, carpets, wallpaper or stationery … We adore home decoration, we develop designs for all Lifestyle sectors and all types of surfaces.

We know how to develop a complete line of printed articles that will keep the mood of a concept and can be adapted to a specific market.
This could be a line of stationery, binders, notebooks … or a “Deco” line of cushions, curtains, rugs, etc.…

We can also develop logos, labels, packaging and visual identities.

Our favorite challenges: searching for an idea that will be the rough sketch for a recognizable logo to be appreciated immediately … and for years to come, developing packaging to reflect your image or creating all your labels to embellish your products …

We grant you the copyright of these creations on all supports worldwide for the duration of their legal protection so you’re free to develop them.

Observe, perceive, distinguish, sense, inhale, filter, sort, tidy up, clarify, organize, present, propose … are the skills we offer. Our consulting and assistance service helps you choose color ranges, themes, graphic styles and motifs that can then be developed.

We help you discover various possibilities for using the “motifs” of your prints, jacquards, embroideries …
This consulting service on specific Colors, Atmospheres and Trends for prints is called “CAT by DOG”.

HOW DO WE WORK ?

DOG creates custom-made prints following your specifications.
Using a process based on listening and understanding your needs, we get to work and present you with either roughs (sketches) or more advanced proposals.

After you’ve validated them, and based on your comments, we finalize the design that we present for your agreement. Then we send you the result digitally.

For our “CAT by DOG” consulting service that focuses on specific trends, please contact us. A special web site will soon be online to present this part of DOG.

1. Brief: First a brief is prepared by your Designers, Product Managers or Collection Directors.
We take all the information and documentation you can provide us with to help us develop your project (mood boards, color ranges, desired techniques).
2. ESTIMATE: Based on your brief and the work you request, we will establish a detailed price estimate.
3. PROPOSAL OF THE DESIGN: Once you’ve accepted our estimate, we start creating your designs and propose various ideas that correspond to your brief.
4. DEBRIEFING AND CORRECTIONS: ou either approve the designs if they satisfy you or ask us to modify them.
5. FINALIZATION: We make corrections based on your comments.
We clean up the designs and put the Allover prints into a repeat pattern. We develop different colorways and specify any technical indications needed.
6. DELIVERING THE DESIGNS: The finished work will be transmitted to you as a digital file in the formats of your choice (.Ai, .PDF, . PSD, . JPG )
We also supply paper print-outs if you need them.
